Frequently Asked Questions

  • Booking a Visit

How can I book a visit?

All visitors will need to pre-book a timed admission slot online in advance of their visit, including STEAM Season Ticket holders and Friends of Swindon Railway Museum. We are currently unable to offer admission tickets on the door.

Tickets are currently available up to three weeks in advance.

When booking your tickets online, you’ll need to select a date and arrival time for your visit, then add the number of tickets you would like to your basket. You will then have the opportunity to add a STEAM guidebook or one of our new children’s activity books to your order.

You will be requested to provide a name for each ticket and one phone number to make your booking. Your details will only be shared with public health agencies if required by the NHS Test and Trace program.

You can arrive any time during your timeslot and once you are in the Museum you are welcome to stay as long as you like until closing time.
