Each year the Teacher Training Agency funds teacher taster courses for prospective teachers. The courses are free and run for three days - enabling candidates to spend time in a university and a school. For more information on the dates and venues for these courses, please telephone Pat Feeney on 01793 466512 or e-mail her at pfeeney@swindon.gov.uk.
Returner courses are designed to update qualified teachers who have taken a career break on current developments in education and changes in the classroom. They are intended to provide the preparation and confidence necessary to return to the classroom. Courses usually receive funding from the Teacher Training Agency and therefore attract a bursary of £150 per week for delegates and can also include childcare funding. For more information on the dates and venues for these courses please telephone Pat Feeney on 01793 466512 or e-mail us at pfeeney@swindon.gov.uk.
