Santa with ElfThe Sights and Sounds of Christmas are Coming to STEAM!

Sounds to celebrate the coming of Christmas will emanate from STEAM on 3 and 4 December as we welcome visitors between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm to a real winter wonderland of treats and festive entertainment.

Musical performances will take place on the museum’s own Station Platform, including Pegasus Brass, the Swindon Male Voice Choir, the Merribels and the Occasionals and a Christmas café will offer seasonal snacks to keep energy levels up.

Kentwood ChoirAs well as experiencing the magic of Christmas, there is plenty to see and do inside the museum. Kids of all ages get to climb aboard some of the famous GWR locomotives and test their skills at being a signalman and an engine driver. You can even walk underneath the magnificent 80-ton Caerphilly Castle!

White StarThis event has become especially popular for the magical atmosphere that we create at STEAM and our Christmas trade stalls are specially selected to reflect the highest quality in regional crafts and gifts. We have an amazing choice of designer jewellery, ceramics and pottery, toys and games, and also organic soaps, hand-made chutneys and preserves, sweets and chocolate.

Tickets for this event give exceptional value as you get to see the whole Museum as well as experiencing this Christmas wonderland – and all for the very cheery price of £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children aged 3 to 16 and concessions. Children under three go free.

Pegasus Brass

Children also get the chance to visit Santa in his magical Grotto for an extra charge of £4.00 (including quality gift).

Please be aware that STEAM’s usual free parking offer does not apply at special events. Car parking is at the adjacent Swindon Designer Outlet car parks.
