Kids For a Quid
During the school summer holidays we're slashing the cost of visiting STEAM for children aged 3-16 years.
When accompanied by a full-paying adult, they'll be able to visit for just £1 on any day between 31 July and 31 August.
To take advantage of this offer, you just need to present the voucher when you arrive.

Gauge One Association Display
14 and15 August
The Salisbury and Stonehenge Gauge 1 Model Railway Group brings its fantastic model railway display to STEAM! The models are made to a high standard of miniature engineering and gauge 1 is the smallest practical scale used for a reliable working steam locomotive. Don't miss this opportunity to see a wonderful collection of working model locomotives, coaches and wagons! Normal admission applies.
GWR 175 Gala Dinner
21 August
An evening with railway experts, Pete Waterman, OBE and Professor Andrew McNaughton, Chief engineer of High Speed Two (the company established to develop high-speed rail in Great Britain).This prestigious event is expected to attract heritage raiways, railway companies, railway enthusiasts and anyone who is attracted to the glamour and significance of this 'once in a lifetime' celebration of the 175th anniversary of the Great Western Railway. Individual tickets cost £125 or book a table with friends for a special table package. A limited edition GWR 175 souvenir will also be presented to each dinner guest

GWR 175 Railway Workers Weekend
28 and 29 August
Railway workers, enthusiasts and families from all over the country are invited to this special weekend event to celebrate the people that built and worked on the Great Western Railway! There will be free entry on both days for retired railway workers (please bring some form of relevant ID) as part of the GWR 175 celebrations. Normal admission applies to other visitors.

GWR 175 - Civic Service of Thanksgiving
Sunday 29 August at 3.00pm
St Augustine's Church, Summers Street, Swindon (five minutes' walk from Steam).
The service will be attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Swindon, and the preacher will be Rt Revd Mike Hill, Lord Bishop of Bristol.
Refreshments will be available after the service.
