As well as the traditional conferencing rooms at STEAM, the Museum also boasts a number of unique locations for hire. Entertaining guests or clients amongst the displays and in the backdrop of some impressive, and iconic, locomotives will make the day one to remember.
Caerphilly Castle Hall
Why not entertain with a difference? Caerphilly Castle Hall, the only one its kind, boasts a stunning GWR express locomotive as a backdrop. The locomotive is displayed in exemplery condition - an exclusive canvas for successful receptions.
Up to 100 people can be seated for dinner in the hall, and by hiring this space your guests can enjoy the pleasure of viewing the whole Museum.
Station Platform
Enjoy a glass of champagne on our famous Station Platform. Our reconstructed GWR platform is a great venue for an informal event outside of Museum opening hours.
Buffet Car
Also waiting at our Station Platform is an original 1934, Swindon built, GWR buffet car.
Drinks can be served by the buffet car on the Station Platform throughout the evening. A real touch of class for any event!
