Swindon Parent Partnership Service offers parents and carers independent information and support about their child's special educational needs (SEN) by:

  • Explaining the assessment process
  • Helping you to prepare for meetings
  • Supporting you at meetings
  • Helping you with all the paperwork
  • Looking at all the options
  • Being a listening ear

The support is provided by either the parent partnership co-ordinator, case worker or trained registered volunteers called Independant Parent Supporters (IPS).

We can give you information about:

  • The assessment process
  • Code of practice
  • Parents' rights
  • The annual review
  • Appeals or tribunal procedures
  • Transition plans
  • Any SEN questions you want answers to

We can do this:

  • Over the phone
  • By letter
  • By arranging a home visit
  • At the Partnership office
