On Top of the World!

Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February

Get ready for the Olympics and test your geography with our new global quiz trail to take you round the state rooms of Lydiard House! Find objects from far-flung countries and learn about well-travelled members of the St John family and design and make your own flag to take home. House entry charge applies.

Valentine’s Day Love Bugs

Tuesday 14 February, 12.00pm-3.00pm

Make a bling love bug for the one you adore! £3 per child. No booking required - drop in to the Coach House Education Room between the house and walled garden.

Chinese Dragons

Thursday 16 February, 12.0pm-3.00pm

Bring yourself good luck and celebrate the New Chinese Year of the Dragon, by making your own dragon decoration to hang up at home! £3 per child. No booking required - drop in to the Coach House Education Room between the house and walled garden.

Willow Weaving Workshop

Sunday 26 February, 2.00pm-4.00pm

Looking for Signs of Spring

Mad March Hare Event

Sunday 25 March

A 5km or 10km jog or walk through the beautiful surroundings of Lydiard Park in Swindon.

The Great Western Embroiderers : Traditions

Thursday 29 March to Sunday 10 June

Be amazed by the intricate, colourful, complex and attractive embroidery created especially for this display in Lydiard House by the Great Western Embroiderers. To accompany the display there will be a fantastic trail for children to hunt out handmade peg dolls. House entry charge applies.

Bunny Ears and Rocking Rabbits

Tuesday 3 April, 12.00pm-3.00pm

Spring into Easter by making your own bunny ears and Easter decoration. £3 per child. No booking required - drop in between 12.00pm and 3.00pm.

The Great Lydiard Park Easter Trail

Sunday 8 April, 11.00am-3.00pm

Join in a great Easter family tradition by taking a walk around the park, finding clues to a puzzle and claiming your prize.  £2 per child. No booking required - drop in between 12.00pm and 3.00pm.

Finger Puppets and Peg Dollies
