For this Half-term, here's a round-up of What's On, including a brand new fun science activity where children get to make their own Camera Obscura!

Important Note for 3 and 4 June: Please be aware that due to the Swindon Film and Comic Con taking place throughout the Museum, STEAM is unable to offer standard STEAM admission on 3 and 4 June and normal access will not be available for STEAM Season Ticket holders on these days.

Early closure of the Museum on Friday 2 June, closing at 2pm (last admission at 1pm). This is to allow for the setting up of our big weekend event, Swindon Film and Comic Con.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

King George V was built in 1927. That same year, there was a total eclipse of the sun in the United Kingdom.

People used pinhole viewers or Camera Obscuras to see the eclipse without looking directly at the sun.
