Christmas at STEAM

When: Saturday 02 December 2017 12:00 AM - Sunday 03 December 2017 05:00 PM

Bringing to you, the Sights and Sounds of Christmas...

CHristmas web banner.jpg

Enjoy plenty of sparkles as you step into a Christmas wonderland of over 40 artisan market stalls set amidst STEAM's fabulous story-telling displays and famous GWR locomotives.

Our specially selected trader stalls range from hand crafted silver jewellery, photographic prints, glass artworks and home furnishings, to Christmas tree decorations, wooden toys and games, chutneys and luxury confectionery. Please see below for details.
Seasonal atmospherics include special lighting, live choir music on stage and a Christmas Café. Stop off for a warm snack or maybe just a cuppa and take a break in our spacious seated area - perfect for listening to the musical performances too.
To complete the Christmas magic, Santa will be here on both days with his Santa’s Storytime sessions. These include a festive story and sing-a-long, plus a wrapped gift and are held in the Museum's characterful Hawksworth Hall. Sessions last around 20 minutes and are available for a small extra charge when you book ahead at Reception.
Further reasons to be cheerful include the very special admission prices for this event:
£1 for children (15 years and under)
£3 for adults (or £5 for two adults)
Under 3s go free!

Doors open between 10am and 5pm.

To get a taste of the great atmosphere, musical entertainment and Christmas market, watch this video of a previous Christmas at STEAM event (please note, we now have a different Santa experience with our Santa's Story Time sessions):
