Create Studios is Swindon’s digital media centre; a hub of education, training and inclusion work using the latest in animation, film, photography, sound and web.

We are pleased that funding from new partnerships with Arts Council SW and with Bath University means that Create can offer a range of subsidised and free courses for young people over Spring 2010.

JUNE

Sight and Sound: Film and music production made easy!

Tues 1st, Weds 2nd, Thurs 3^rd, Fri 4^th June 2010

Ages 14-16

Work as a production crew to plan and shoot your own film. Working alongside industry professionals you will learn how to create a script and turn it into reality, learning about cameras, mics, music film-score and sound effects production along the way. The pressure is on to screen the film on the last day!

Media Production Weekend for Creative and Media Diploma students

After the success of last year’s pilot project, 12 students can get the chance to build up 2 work related learning days by producing a music video for a local band working alongside industry professionals. As well as filming, there is the opportunity to work on photography and graphic design to complete the CD package.

Create Studios is the Creative Gateway commissioned by the Swindon 14-19 Partnership to deliver an exciting range of subsidised work related learning opportunities open to schools delivering the Creative and Media Diploma.
